Pasi Mustonen, who recently led Finland to bronze at the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship, will remain the coach of the women’s national team.

“In the upcoming season all eyes are at the next Olympic Games. We have to do things now that we will be able to play for medals in three years,” Mustonen said and also mentioned that the demand on the players will be high. “In the future we need a team specifically for athletes, which requires a lot of investments of the players.”

Also Jari Risku, the head coach of the U18 women’s national team, extended his contract and will continue to work at the Kuortane Sports Institute where most of his players are based.
